User Management
Overview
User Management allows administrators to invite new team members, manage user roles and permissions, edit user profiles, and remove users from the organization. This is where you control who has access to Aurora Inbox and what they can do.
How to Access
- Navigate to Settings > Company
- Click the Users tab
- Requires the Billing Admin role
Interface Overview
The Users tab displays:
- An Add New button in the top-right corner
- A data table listing all users with columns for:
- Avatar
- Name (clickable link to edit for active users; shown as a badge for invited users)
- Actions dropdown menu
Features & Actions
View User List
What it does: Displays all active users and pending invitations in a searchable, paginated table.
Steps:
- Go to Settings > Company > Users tab
- Browse the user list or use the search field to find specific users
- Active users show their name as a clickable link; invited users show a badge
Invite a New User
What it does: Sends an email invitation to a new team member with the specified roles and team assignments.
Steps:
- Click the Add New button
- A dialog opens with:
- Email field for the new user's email address
- Roles tab with toggles for each available role
- Teams tab with toggles for each team inbox
- Enter the new user's email address
- Toggle on the desired roles (e.g., Billing Admin, Channels Admin, Contact Admin)
- Switch to the Teams tab and toggle on the teams the user should join
- Click Add
- An invitation email is sent to the specified address
Important notes:
- The email field is required
- The user will receive an invitation email with a link to create their account
- Invited users appear in the user list with a badge indicator until they accept the invitation
- You can assign multiple roles and teams during the invitation process
Edit a User's Profile
What it does: View and modify a user's roles and upload a new avatar for them.
Steps:
- Click on the user's name in the list, or select Edit from the actions dropdown
- The user profile page opens showing:
- User avatar (with a pencil icon to change)
- User name and email
- A back button to return to the Users list
- A Roles tab with toggle switches for each role
- Toggle roles on or off as needed (changes save individually per role)
- Optionally, click the pencil icon on the avatar to upload a new profile photo
Important notes:
- Each role toggle saves automatically when clicked
- Role toggles are disabled while a change is being processed
- Each role includes a name and description for reference
Resend an Invitation
What it does: Resends the invitation email to a user who was invited but has not yet accepted.
Steps:
- Find the invited user in the list (shown with a badge)
- Click the actions dropdown (three dots icon)
- Select Resend Invitation
- A confirmation message appears: "Invitation sent."
Delete a User
What it does: Removes a user or cancels a pending invitation. When deleting an active user, you must select a substitute to reassign their conversations.
Steps:
- Click the actions dropdown next to the user's name
- Select Delete
- A confirmation dialog appears:
- For active users: select a substitute user from the dropdown to receive the deleted user's conversations
- For invited users: no substitute is needed
- Click Delete to confirm
Important notes:
- Deleting an active user requires selecting a substitute; this is mandatory and the dropdown is validated
- The substitute receives all conversations that were assigned to the deleted user
- Deleting an invited user simply removes the pending invitation
- This action cannot be undone

FAQ
Q: How many users can I add? A: The number of users depends on your subscription plan. Check the Subscription tab for your current user limit.
Q: Can I change a user's email address? A: No. Each user manages their own email through their personal profile settings. To change which email is associated with a seat, delete the user and invite the new email.
Q: What happens to a user's conversations when they are deleted? A: All conversations are transferred to the substitute user you select during the deletion process.
Q: Can a user have multiple roles? A: Yes. Roles are additive, and a user can have any combination of roles enabled.
