AI Agent Setup

Overview

The AI Agent Setup is the third step of the setup wizard. It allows you to create your first AI agent by selecting a template that matches your business use case. Aurora Inbox offers three pre-configured agent templates: Sales (schedule a demo), Sales (connect to an agent), and Customer Support. The agent is named "Aurora" by default and is created with the selected template configuration.

How to Access

  • This is Step 3 of the Setup Wizard
  • Accessible during the initial onboarding flow after completing the Channel Setup step
  • If an AI agent already exists, this step is automatically skipped

Interface Overview

The page displays:

  • A title for the AI agent configuration
  • Three selectable option cards arranged side by side, each with an illustration and description:
    1. Sales -- Schedule a Demo: An agent focused on guiding customers to schedule a product demo
    2. Sales -- Connect to Agent: An agent that qualifies leads and connects them with a human sales agent
    3. Customer Support: An agent that answers customer questions and provides support
  • Back and Next navigation buttons at the bottom
  • A loading animation shown while the agent is being created

Features & Actions

Select an AI Agent Template

What it does: Chooses the type of AI agent to create for your account.

Steps:

  1. Review the three template options displayed as cards
  2. Click on a card to select it (the selected card is highlighted with an active state)
  3. Click Next to create the agent with the selected template

Important notes:

  • The first option (Sales -- Schedule a Demo) is selected by default
  • You can change your selection by clicking a different card before clicking Next
  • Once you click Next, the agent is created and cannot be changed from this wizard (but can be reconfigured later)

Create the AI Agent

What it does: Creates a new AI agent named "Aurora" with the selected template and advances to the next step.

Steps:

  1. Select your preferred template
  2. Click Next
  3. Wait while the agent is being created (a loading animation is shown)
  4. Once created, the wizard automatically advances to the Subscription step

Important notes:

  • The agent is created via a server call and named "Aurora" by default
  • If creation fails, an error message is displayed and you can try again

Go Back to Channel Setup

What it does: Returns to the previous step.

Steps:

  1. Click the Back button
  2. You are returned to Step 2 (Channel Setup)

FAQ

Q: Can I change the AI agent's name? A: The agent is created as "Aurora" during setup. You can rename it later from the AI Agents settings page.

Q: Can I change the agent template after creation? A: The template determines the initial configuration. You can fully customize the agent's behavior, instructions, and workflows after setup from the AI Agents page.

Q: What if I already have an AI agent? A: This step is automatically skipped if an AI agent already exists in your account.

Q: Can I create multiple AI agents? A: During setup, only one agent is created. You can create additional agents later from the Aurora AI section.
