Getting Started with Aurora Inbox
Overview
The Getting Started flow guides new users through the process of creating their Aurora Inbox account and configuring it for first use. This onboarding experience starts with the signup form and seamlessly transitions into the setup wizard, where you configure your knowledge base, messaging channels, AI agent, and subscription. A progress bar at the top of the screen shows how far along you are.
How to Access
- This page is shown to new users who do not yet have an account
- If you already have an account, you are automatically redirected to the login page
Interface Overview
The onboarding page displays:
- The Aurora Inbox logo in the top-left corner
- A progress bar at the top (starts at 20%) showing your overall onboarding progress
- A white content panel containing the Signup form (the first step in the onboarding process)
- A loading animation is shown while the system checks whether you already have an account
Features & Actions
Automatic Account Detection
What it does: Before showing the signup form, the system checks whether you already have an Aurora Inbox account. If an account exists, you are redirected to the login page.
Steps:
- Visit the onboarding page
- The system automatically checks for an existing account
- If an account exists: you are redirected to Login and then to Setup Step 1
- If no account exists: the signup form is displayed
Important notes:
- This check prevents duplicate account creation
- The redirect includes a return URL so you continue to the setup wizard after logging in
Complete the Onboarding
What it does: Guides you through the full process from signup to initial configuration.
Steps:
- Sign up -- Fill in your company information (see Account Signup)
- Log in -- After signup, you are redirected to the login page
- Setup Wizard -- After logging in, you enter the 5-step setup wizard (see Setup Wizard)
Important notes:
- The progress bar updates as you advance through each step
- You can go back to previous steps in the setup wizard using the Back button
FAQ
Q: I already have an account but I'm seeing the signup page. What should I do? A: You may be logged out. Try navigating to the login page directly and signing in with your existing credentials.
Q: Can I skip the onboarding and come back later? A: The signup step must be completed to create your account. Once your account is created, the setup wizard allows you to skip certain optional steps (like the knowledge base).
